What began in the shower…

In 2009, Exeri co-founder and CEO Magnus Karlsson found himself stuck in the shower without hot water or lights for the third time in the same week.  Frustrated by how regular power outages were still common in the 21st century, he began to investigate the matter as an engineer and quickly realized that very little had changed in power grid technology since it was first introduced 100 years prior.

Determined to create a solution, Magnus and his co-founders, Elisabeth and Stefan, set out to truly modernize the technology underpinning power grids by creating the first-ever smart power grids.

…is now a revolutionary tool for power grid operators

By 2014, through the utilization of their combined +50 years of experience working with and building sensor and cellular networks, condition monitoring systems, command and control systems, and security and communication systems, Magnus and his team brought to life what they envisioned years earlier: a smart grid system that would transform how power grids operate.

Exeri’s Smart Grid Surveillance™ provides power grid operators comprehensive information about their networks through an integrated system of intelligent sensors that serve as the AI backbone of any grid and a digital interface that displays an overview of the entire operation, eliminating the need to send line workers into hazardous conditions to physically inspect every issue.

Through precise fault location determination and preemptive intervention capabilities, grid operators can repair issues in a fraction of the time with less personnel working on each issue - saving time, money, emissions, and lives.
