Major installation in Västerbotten of Smart Grid technology from Exeri

Exeri's system for securing electricity supply and reducing down time of power outages is now being installed in large parts of the electric grid in Västerbotten. Over 400 IoT sensors will provide Skellefteå Kraft with continuous monitoring of the grid and give entirely new possibilities to act on disturbances.

“Exeri is the leader in electric grid monitoring in Sweden, both in installed number of IoT units and in length of monitored overhead lines.” says Magnus Karlsson, CEO of Exeri. "We are very much looking forward to installing our innovative smart grid system in new areas, thus contributing to both secure electricity supply for end users and a safe working environment for field personnel."

When there is a power outage can it take many hours to find the fault. Exeri Smart Grid Surveillance is an innovative system made up of intelligent line agents, secure radio communication and advanced data analysis that makes it possible to detect and position faults in the electric grid immediately.
